Freelance is owned by Husband and Wife team , Duke and Kiki King , the brand came about in 2009 when I realized that the financially secure career I had , could never make me happy.In 2009 I made a life changing decision to leave my well paying job in a quest to get payed loving what you do.As a child if you ever asked what I wanted to do , I would say be an "artist" and I have never lost sight of that dream.I cashed out a large chunk of savings and just went for it , Our mission statement is :Freelance is a streetwear Brand for the people, whose focus is on conscious creativity, connecting to the community and consistently delivering relevant and attainable product
Our next goal : Establish our line our custom headwear , build our in house team , expand our retail accounts including some that are being worked on in Japan.Our biggest achievement I believe is the day we were able to pay some of our personal bills just through our brand , I know it takes time but it has become a reality and now we need to tighten up our business so we can live comfortably off our brand one day , give back and provide jobs
